Green With Envy Beauty

in makeup

From Cargo:  “Embodying the mantra “Red Lips, Green Conscience,” Cargo introduces a new revolution in eco-friendly beauty.  The Plant Love professional collection, a complete line of eco-fabulous makeup in a stunning array of breathtaking textures and colors, is as beautiful as it is progressive.  The only prestige color brand to carry the globally recognized ECOCERT natural designation for it’s  comprehensive environmental commitment, PlantLove is truly beauty with a conscience.  From natural and organic ingredients, to it’s environmentally award-winning compostable packaging, Cargo PlantLove lets us go green glamorously.”

Wow!  About 2 years ago, I was really impressed when Cargo first came out with the PlantLove lipsticks.  I was loving the compostable lipstick tubes made out of corn, with a box you could plant embedded with wildflower seeds.  I thought they were on to something being the first mainstream brand to do such a thing.  I secretly wished they would expand the line and I had mentioned it to the brand representative.  She never hinted they were up to something but told me they would only do it if they got it perfect.  They DID!

Featuring a beautiful array of new lipsticks that are in high demand, eyeshadows, lip glosses, blush, eye and lip pencils and a loose mineral foundations– Cargo is taking a step in the right direction.  Expect other brands to start following suit with what will sure to become a habit for good, not a trend.  I’m off to go gaze at the new colors!
