I know one thing– okay, maybe a few things for sure. I cannot stand it when I get eyeshadow fallout underneath my eyes. It’s not quite the look I was going for, especially when I took my time getting my foundation and concealer just right. Often, I will just take a little translucent powder and try to dust it away, and that works most of the time. But what if I told you there was a way to prevent it and you could actually toss the fallout in the trash afterwards?
Shadow Shields were created by make-up artist Michelle Villanueva to bridge that gap between messy undereyes and you creating a work of art. I tried these half-moon shaped soft pads a few times while doing crazy eyeshadow, minimal, and smoky eyes. They performed each time. There’s a small gentle adhesive strip on the back that you attach under the bulge of the eye. One of the things I give kudos for is that she gives you the option on how much of the adhesive you want to expose. You’ve got the ability to use the whole tab, or just a small section depending on your needs.
These are a great addition to your stash if you’re new to doing make-up, or if you’re a seasoned pro. The price is pretty fair at $16.95 and definitely beats using that plastic shield on a handle. The uses for these are pretty endless when it comes to the eye area, they allow you to also become pretty precise. So check em’ out! Shadow get the thumbs up from me.
