REVIEW: Elizabeth Grant Skincare

I’m always amazed at how far skincare has come in terms of research and development just since I’ve been in the industry.  So when I had a chance to check out Elizabeth Grant’s timeless line of skincare that began back in 1958, I was excited.  You may think that such a thing would certainly be outdated by now, but in all actuality– I think those concepts developed decades ago are even more beneficial to us now than some of the quick-to-market brands sprouting up today.  There’s been so much time to develop the right combination of ingredients for targeted results partnered with an ample amount of time to really evaluate those formulas by consumers.  Testimonials galore herald the benefits of her line.

“Elizabeth Grant did not always have the flawless skin she has today. Damaged during the Second World War, her skin was a constant source of personal shame and embarrassment – to the point where she avoided going out in public and living her life fully.

All of that changed in 1948 when Elizabeth discovered a natural substance that was used to treat war wounds. She had it specially formulated with other ingredients and began applying it to her damaged skin. Gradually, but very noticeably, the transformation occurred. Within eight months, Elizabeth’s skin had improved remarkably. She threw away the dark glasses and drooping hats that she wore whenever she went out in public…and started living again!”

The Biocollasis Advanced Cellular Eye Cream is perfect for a 30-something like me who is hoping to minimize the early signs of aging and prevent the effects of new damage to the delicate eye area.  I noticed no fragrance which is a plus, and it has a nice creamy texture– not too dense or too loose in consistency, just right.  The packaging is just extravagant and makes you feel like a million bucks.  Stimulating the skin’s own cellular regeneration, her patented Torricelumn compound ensures a reduction in fine lines, an increase in hydration levels, and is a preventative treatment as well.  At this time, I notice a reduction in crepey-ness under my eye area and I’m sure I will see more benefits with continued use!

Now here’s what I think is just the creme de la creme!  Biocollasis GOLD Advanced Cellular Radiance is an extremely precious and prestigious moisturizer.

“For more than 2,000 years historians have recounted tales of legendary Egyptian queen Cleopatra’s beauty and her smooth, glowing, radiant skin. Her secret…a sleeping mask of pure gold.”

Containing actual gold to heal, refine, and rejuvenate your skin– this will help more mature skin regain it’s composure and also aid the health of a more youthful skin type.  I want skin like Cleopatra!  I really enjoyed using this moisturizer, it’s just a little too rich for everyday use for me on a personal level.  This is something I would use for a few weeks at a time when my complexion is lacking in vibrancy.  I think it would make an excellent makeup base as it has light-deflecting particles which are sure to add a nice glow.  I’m going to try that out in a very thin application to see how that goes!

With several lines targeted towards specific concerns within the brand, there’s sure to be something for everyone.  Vitamin C, Collagen, and Caviar are just a few of the specialties from Elizabeth Grant.  Have you ever tried the line?  Leave me a message, I’m curious to know your experience!
