REVIEW: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Mascara & Vivid Impact Lip Color

by Amber on January 5, 2009

in lipstick,makeup,mascara,new products,product reviews

Max Factor has some hot new products to check out, it seems like lately they can do no wrong.  All of the magazines are calling “Ms. Right” from Max Factor’s Vivid Impact Lip Color range a Spring 2009 must-have, and the new 2000 Calorie Extreme Mascara is nothing to sneeze at!

Having witnessed this hot red shade first hand, I can tell you it pays to be Ms. Right, right now.

The January 09′ issue of Marie Claire is calling it a beauty must-buy.  The runways of Nina Ricci and Louis Vuitton are all about sassy red lips so here’s your chance to have THE red lip of the season.  Harper’s Bazaar suggests applying this shade with a fingertip if it’s too bright for you and wearing it like a stain instead.  BRAVO!  Now go get one, because I’m not sharing!  If nude is more your thing, try Ms. Terious, #24.  This formula is suprisingly hydrating for how intense the pigments are!  They are not drying at all, the shea butter works!

Because you can’t have hot lips without great lashes, I tried Max Factor’s 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper.  This is a super-clean formula with no clumps.  Take a look at that brush!  Lashes are serious business.

A picture says a thousand words, so here is a before and after with the 2000 Calorie Extreme mascara:

I’ve got some WIMPY lashes, I admit.  But the 2000 Calorie Extreme helps me fake it, for sure.   This is a before and after with 2 coats, and obviously no other makeup so that you can see just the mascara’s performance.  Scary, I know… but we’re all friends here so please pardon how shiny my skin is.  I would agree with Max Factor’s claim of it increasing the thickness of your lashes up to 200%.  You be the judge.  What’s your fave Max Factor product?
