Prior to my utterly incredible facial at Kinara last week, I was testing out a skin care regime from Mario Badescu. There are several products that warrant a full-on review which is coming, but I strongly feel the Drying Lotion from Mario Badescu is worthy of some special attention.
First, have you ever been to the Mario Badescu site? It’s got to be one of the most detail oriented skin care retailing sites I’ve ever seen. They break your skin care symptoms down in language you can understand so you can decide for yourself what would be best for it’s state. If you need a little more help, they offer online consultations to further aid you in making the best decision. After reading about the different kinds of acne there are I decided I had to try the Drying Lotion. I’ve heard miraculous things about it from a former co-worker and it receives a ton of positive press– so hey. What’s good enough for Liv Tyler is good enough for me.
Yes, I labeled all that pink stuff at the bottom “the magical potion”! I was tempted to shake it up when I got in my hot little hands but the directions clearly state: DO NOT SHAKE. The reason why: there’s a calamine solution at the bottom and you just dip a cotton swab through the liquid at the top to get to that said magical potion. It doesn’t smell all that pretty so please be prepared. But like anything else you’ll get used to it and if it works, I don’t mind a little lot of an alcohol scent. I use this at night on those little buggers that pop up and I go to bed with the hubby calling me “Chicken Pox Girl”. The next day, if they aren’t gone they are vastly improved. This one gets the major thumbs up and has taken up residence in my bathroom cabinet.
