Back in the day, I was a fan of Aussie Sprunch Spray and so were all of my friends. It seemed to be the only thing that could hold any kind of curl, to which I had none. All of my friends had spiral perms and my Mom wouldn’t let me get one. It was torture to me at that time, now I think she deserves an award of some kind for not letting me sport that wet spiral perm look after all. But I still used Sprunch Spray and it held a wave so I could at least look like I belonged with the pack of girls I was with if someone looked at me from outside that gossip-gabbing little clique.
Flash forward to today: Currently I’m loving Aussie’s Hair Insurance line. For the past week I’ve used the shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner. The sweet and fruity scent lingers in my hair all day but that’s one of the things I love about it. Most shampoos leave my hair in a frazzled/tangled mess and requires the use of a conditioner immediately to remedy the situation, but I find the Hair Insurance shampoo helps alleviate that syndrome. Must be that Australian silk protein and ginseng. Because I can’t get enough of a good hair-thing I’ve used the conditioner regardless and I get great results. Something I cannot normally do is immediately run my fingers through my hair when I get out of the shower and with the Hair Insurance conditioner, I can. While I don’t get a ton of body out of this line, it’s nurturing my parched locks. This weather is all wonky right now in Southern California– it was super chilly for Los Angeles just 2 weeks ago with temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s. Now it’s been as high 90 in the past few days! Going from using indoor heat to outdoor hot and dry conditions so soon isn’t all that great for your hair and skin, or your nerves! As extra hair insurance *a-ha!* the leave-in conditioner is an extra perk. I’ve noticed that when I flat iron my hair and I use the leave-in, my hair looks shinier and doesn’t take as much frizz serum. Aussie is helping to provide some relief but sometimes I don’t think anything can help these strings on my head. I’m sending out an SOS. Anyone have any tips? I’ve got some other hair products to review over the next few weeks so stay tuned. We’ll figure something out together!

I, too absolutely LOVE Aussie products. I am 46 yrs.old and have been using Aussie since I was very young. I’ve never been diappointed… until now. I have used Aussie scented Scrunch spray for many, many years. I have super long hair and it brings out my naturally wavy length and it smelled SOOOOOO GOOD!!! I got compliments ALL the time!! It became “my scent”!
WHAT HAPPENED???? They changed the scent!! It no longer smells grape-y and spicey. It smells floral like all the others. I was so disappointed! Because of this, I was forced to make a change and have foolishly spent all kinds of money hoping to find a replacement that would smell and work great. There’s NOTHING. My hair likes and only wants Aussie Scrunch . I even tried Aussie Scrunch in the Aerosol can spray which I discovered still smelled like it used to. But the can stuff dosnt work for me. I even tried spraying it on my hair as a smell but it wont linger!
I wish the good Aussie product family would return it’s product to it’s original grape-y, spicey scent. People loved the smell and countless people were referred to it by me.
Why Did It Change?

Hi Wendy,
I didn’t know they changed the fragrance of Sprunch Spray! It’s an iconic product with a unique scent, so that’s nuts to me too. I understand why companies have to update their formulas from time to time, but wow–that’s a doozie! Let’s hope they hear your cries
