Since 1996, Urban Decay has been on the edge of all things individual with makeup that knows no boundaries. Cult faves like their Eyeshadow Primer Potion and their pigment rich shades of eyeshadow like the ever-popular Midnight Cowboy are globally known and are probably somewhere in your stash. So when I learned of Urban Decay’s Spring 09′ offerings I became flushed with a fever! Up close and personal– here’s a peek at what’s new at Urban Decay:
I promise you’re not seeing things. These are incredibly pigmented Cream Shadows! These are being released in 12 shades. Pictured here: Radium– a metallic electric blue, Grass– a shimmery grass green, and Suburbia– a glimmery bronze . If you’re thinking you can’t wear these, think again! You can apply them with a brush for an awesome punch of color as a cream liner or wear them as a base for another eyeshadow if they’re too much for you on their own. These are loaded with color, it’s best to apply a thin layer with the doefoot applicator wand and allow it to dry. If desired you can apply another thin layer. These do not budge. Scout’s honor.
My brain pretty much fell out of my head when I got the Midnight Cowboy lipstick into my hot little hands. A spin-off of the famous Midnight Cowboy eyeshadow, this lipstick is all I’ve ever wanted in a lipstick. It smells and tastes great, it glides on with incredible ease, stays moist, and the glossiness is unbelievable. Ooh! I can’t forget the fact that it’s housed in one of the most awesome cases ever! The tube has a good weight to it, it’s purple, and it has a sword on the bottom. Need I say more? This champagne lipstick is almost too pretty to use with it’s etched side. I’m going to have fun trying to apply it without disturbing the Urban Decay etching, won’t that be a sight to see?
That’s not all. There’s also a new version of the Eyeshadow Primer Potion with a champagne luster to it as well. Hmm, I guess it must be really fun to work with those gals in the Urban Decay offices– the bubbly must flow freely! Just kidding. I digress, it’s called Sin (like the eyeshadow as well) and has all of the same qualities you love about the original primer but adds dimension to your eyeshadow. To sweeten the deal we’re being treated to 4 new shades of the 24/7 Eye Pencils too in Flipside, Underground, Ransom, and Graffiti. I feel like an infomercial right now– but wait! The Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliners are getting 4 new sisters in Midnight Cowboy (yay!), Groupie, Stagedive, and Catfight. Now that you’re all riled up, go ahead and surf on over to their site and pick your faves. What are you going to get from this super spangled collection? I’m all about the bronze and the bubbly.
