REVIEW: CoverGirl ExactEyelights Mascara

Have you seen the gorgeous Rihanna in CoverGirl’s new ExactEyelights Mascara ads?  She’s kind of hard to miss.  I don’t think they could have found a more perfect set of peepers to model ExactEyelights, a mascara that promises to reflect light and enhance your eye color.  It works– little metallic spheres reflect light while a small pop of color in the black mascara base accentuates your eye color.  I’m wearing Black Ruby which adds a slight aubergine tint to the lashes and adds a little twinkle.

4 colors are available:

  • Black Ruby (green eyes)
  • Black Pearl (brown eyes)
  • Black Gold (hazel eyes)
  • Black Sapphire (blue eyes)
  • ExactEyelights is arsenal-worthy and retails for around $8.95 but I’ve seen it on sale for much less at my local drugstore.  Let me know what you think!

I love this stuff, too! It’s such a great mascara and it’s now on my must have list!

I haven’t tried that product, but I am always on the hunt for a good, cheap mascara. Also. You have such pretty eyes!

It gives you some good length anyways! I’ve been skeptical about these types of mascaras doing anything for brown eyes, but looks like I’ll be trying this! Thanks!

I LOVE eyes i think they’re the most beautyful part of the face well eyes and the lips of course.. but i think that eye up they’re looks beautyful and it gave it more length.. definitely gonna get this!!!!

My eyelashes are stick straight, so I have to curl them – which doesn’t always hold. This mascara definitely made curling easy. They stayed perfect all day.

The downside – when I went to wash OFF the mascara the next day, it would NOT budge. I tried soap, make-up remover, lotion with a cotton ball, EVERYTHING!! I STILL have clumps stuck on my eyelashes.

I won’t use this mascara again for the simple fact that I don’t have time to sandblast my eyelashes every morning to get yesterday’s mascara off.

That’s a good point Lina! Have you ever tried using a cleansing oil on your lashes for mascara removal like DHC Cleansing Oil? I’ve had good luck with that first sometimes when I’m having difficulty. xo, Amber
