One of the things I really love about this site is that I have the opportunity and the inclination to discover beauty brands that are more boutique-y and off the beaten path. LaLicious is one such brand and well worth seeking out.
I tried out the Coffee Bean Sugar Souffle and the Vanilla Whipped Body Soap which were as delicious as they sound. The Coffee Bean Sugar Souffle smells more like the inside of a Starbucks than a body scrub, and I say that with much enthusiasm. Pardon me, as I’ve given up coffee for 10 days while I’m on a detox– so it’s a welcome treat in the tub. Right now, it’s sitting on my desk and I smell it every time I get the urge to run to the coffee pot, but I digress. It has a more practical use– the whipped consistency hydrates the skin with coconut and almond oils while pure cane sugar does the dirty work of sloughing off rough skin. It smells DELISH and isn’t oily or greasy. Coffee not your thing? The LaLicious Sugar Souffles come in 9 scents.
The Vanilla Whipped Body Soap is incredibly sinful. While it’s vanilla, it smells like buttercream frosting which is something I can never, ever say no to. The Whipped Body Soaps are sulfate-free so they won’t suds up at all but do work into a nice creamy texture. I found this perfectly gentle for shaving and cleansing, it rinsed away clean leaving only a soft vanilla fragrance behind. Their Whipped Body Soaps also come in several other scents if vanilla isn’t your deal.
Now I’ve got to check out the rest of the line which also includes body oils and body butters, retail locations are available here.
