An Anesthesiologist's Solution To Bikini Waxing Pain

Who dreads a bikini wax?  Maybe I should ask who doesn't dread a bikini wax!  I'm a true believer that if it's done correctly by a seasoned pro, the pain is definitely minimized and it's not as bad of an experience as it's feared to be.  But it still hurts!  I've had my share of ...

REVIEW: CoverGirl Wetslicks AmazeMint Lip Gloss & Outlast Lipstain

by Amber on February 3, 2009

in lip gloss,makeup,new products,product reviews

I’ve got a few new products on my “Favorite Things” list!  Add CoverGirl Wetslicks AmazeMint Lip Gloss and Outlast Lipstain to that list please!

The first thing I love– they have a sweet vanilla peppermint taste and scent that helps freshen your breath.  The blue tones in the shades help to brighten your smile, and these glosses are cooling on the lip.  My favorites are Toast-ed, Everything’s Rosy, and Happy Hour– which is a clear shade that looks blue in the tube and applies sheer.  That blue tint won’t transfer to the lip, but it did help enhance the brightness of my smile.  These are not sticky at all and are pretty moist.  For a drugstore gloss– these are what I consider to be an awesome buy at about $6.50 here locally.  With 13 shades available, I’m probably going to pick up a few more that I like.

Great sister products to the AmazeMint glosses or even for wear on their own are the Outlast Lip Stains.  These are like Sharpies for your lips!  Eventhough they are water-based, they don’t transfer, they’re non-drying, and are super long-lasting.  I tried these in Wild Berry Wink and Sassy Mauve.

While these colors did bleed in the swatches, they didn’t bleed on my lips at all.  As you can tell my hands are super dry again!  I think every gal should own at least one stain, and this is one of the best I’ve tried in a pen form.  Most of the other lip markers I’ve ever tried dry out really quickly and I don’t get much use of them.  But several weeks later, I’m still wearing Sassy Mauve!  These are about $7.50 in my area and I’ve seen them for less or with a buy 1 get 1 deal.  If you can, definitely check these out– there are 10 shades to choose from.  As a testament to how long they actually last on the lips– last night, I applied Wild Berry Wink before dinner, and when I woke up this morning I still had some on!  And there ya go!

I have never heard of these lipglosses but I would definitely like to give them a try and see if they work that good. Make-up is so expensive and there is absolutely nothing more deflating than getting a product that ends up not working,

Shayne– you’re so right about that. It’s such a bummer! Some places like CVS will take back cosmetics if they’ve been used… I’m not sure if it’s like that where you are, but here in Los Angeles you can. So it’s kind of like insurance!

I recently found the lipsticks, glosses from Coono Babe to be high quality at very reasonable pricing. The USA made lipsticks/glosses are very good. Check it out. …Michelle ;)

I LOVE the Amazemint lipgloss in MerryBerry. It’s the exact same color as my lips but it gives a shine that lasts a long time and a fresh scent that tingles on your lips. It’s super moisturizing too! I just adore it!
