Anastasia saves my brows… again.

Several years ago, I had an esthetician get a little too ambitious with my brows.  It was a nightmare!  I literally was missing the tail off of both brows and I’ve had to fill them in ever since, and things will never be the same.  You probably already know that I’m a huge fan of Anastasia’s brow products and that I often wear her brow powder.  It’s one of the best I’ve ever tried.  I’ve been too afraid to let go of my brow powder crutch though and branch out into eyebrow pencils and pens.  I’m so afraid!

Pencils and pens usually look so harsh on the brow in my opinion and I guess that’s really subjective.  I know someone is reading this and saying, “But wait, I use a pencil!”  For me personally, I’ve never had much luck so I just stay away.  But I can trust Anastasia right?  Right?  Yes, I can.  Because I tried her Brow Pen in her universal shade and with a little practice, it actually just looks like hair.  It feathers into the bare spots very easily instead of acting like a marker and drawing a hard line.  The tip is really tapered and that almost ensures that you won’t go too loco with the brows.  This is really nice because let’s say you’re traveling and you want to consolidate things in your makeup bag– you can just take the pen.  If you’re touching up after work before you go out to dinner you can have the convenience of a few quick strokes and let that be that.  I love this thing, it’s so easy to use.  While I may not be giving up my brow powder for good, I now have another option.

I also really like the Brow Duality Pencils.  One side is a matte highlighter and the other is a slight shimmer.  It comes in 2 shades: Shell & Lace, or Camille & Sand.  I think they’re both suitable for almost everyone.  I often can’t believe what a huge difference a little highlight on the brow bone does for your eyes, so why not do it?
