New from Napoleon Perdis is a beautiful set of 5 essentials!  The Butterfly Effect features a Pro Palette Concealer, Long Black Mascara, Barely Blushing cheek & lip stain, the very famous Auto Pilot foundation primer, and a super cute foundation brush.  While this retails at $75– keep in mind these are full sizes of product, nothing teeny here except the foundation brush which is of great quality.  Let’s take a look inside:

This mascara is just insanely fluttery!  It gives great length and curl, and the formula isn’t stiff and brittle on the lash.  Napoleon Perdis Long Black Mascara is definitely makeup arsenal-worthy, girls.   I love the texture of the Pro Palette Concealer, yet unfortunately the shades are too dark for me.  I was able to get a nice blend for the undereye area by mixing a considerable amount of the yellow tone with the lightest of the 3 shades in the jar.  Since I know most gals aren’t as fair as me, this should be suitable for most medium tones because it’s easily customizable.  I was surprised at how much I liked the Auto Pilot Primer, it has a little bit more of a water base with not as much of dimethicone slip that I usually prefer in a primer.  The Barely Blushing cheek and lip stain is a color called “Barely Rouge” and it provides that perfect popsicle stain tint that we’re after in a stain.  I liked the gel consistency of Barely Blushing– it was cooling, hydrating, and it gave me time to move it around before it completely set.  A lot of liquid stains tend to dry really quickly when we’re applying them, making it hard to situate!  I didn’t have that problem at all.  This set is a $155 value for $75, I would say it’s well worth it.
