Curls and shine rule the hair of the Dancing With The Stars Winter National Tour cast! Hair Department Head Russell Latham and Hairstylist Robert Wilson chose several White Sands hair products to help keep the stars’ hairstyles dancing all night.
“With only 2 hairstylists and 2 makeup artists, you are rocking and rolling, cranking the hair out, and out, and out – and that’s where the White Sands products really help achieve those elaborate hairstyles for the tour quickly. AND the looks have to last for the entire show of heavy, full-out dancing. You have to lock-in those hairstyles for the tour, and they have to look good sideways and upside-down.”
Want to get one of the looks? For voluminous curls with tons of shine:
“Clean hair was blown dry with a tiny spritz of White Sands Liquid Texture Medium Hold. Before setting with a curling iron, a tiny bit more Liquid Texture Medium Hold was applied, curling the dancers’ tresses in the desired pattern of the night and clipped. Upon returning from makeup, the clippies were removed and hair would be teased at the root. Curls were then fingered out into gorgeous waves, securing the look with White Sands Infinity Hair Spray. As each dancer arrived backstage before the show, White Sands Stuck Up was applied to lock in that hairstyle for the rest of the night.”

I loved Julia Hough and Shawn Johnson’s hairstyles last night. Two very different looks but both gorgeous! Can someone tell me how it was done? They are not standing still long enough to get a good look and try to figure it out.
Hey Karen,
Great question! I’ve looked all over the net this morning trying to get you some answers and I haven’t come up with anything. I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as I find something!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LACEY SCHWIMMERS NEW HAIR COLOR & CUT LAST NIGHT. I WANT TO GET ME HAIR CUT LIKE THAT NEXT WEEK AND WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE HAIRDRESSER CAN DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I SHOULD TELL HER OR TAKE HER A PICTURE OR SOMETHING..
Hi Tracey
I would take a pic for sure, you can probably find one you like from ABC’s website. I usually can also find great and current celebrity pics from picapp.com it’s a really helpful tool.
