Review: Strange Invisible Perfumes Spring 2009 Collection

by Amber on March 2, 2009

in eco-friendly beauty,fragrance,new products,product reviews

I’ve been struggling for days to come up with words that accurately describe the new trio of floral fragrances from Strange Invisible Perfumes.  To call them “lovely” would be an understatement, or describing them as sophisticated florals isn’t doing them enough justice.  Aquarian Roses, Epic Gardenia, and Urban Lily are truly magical.    Even that doesn’t tell the full tale of these 3 new creations.  I’ve had them for a few months to try out, but I’ve had to keep mum on them and now I can share!

Penned as being ”florals for a new era”, Alexandra Balahoutis, founder of Strange Invisible Perfumes, takes us for a walk through a bountiful Spring garden with her Spring 2009 collection.  Where rare lilies are blossoming and gardenias are more sultry than sweet.  Roses are wild and smell nothing like Grandma’s old tea rose.  If I seem a little dramatic, please pardon me but I’m totally captivated by these completely botanical fragrances!

  • Aquarian Roses - passionate, uninhibited, classic (a beautiful unisex scent)
  • Epic Gardenia -  authentic, sexy, legendary
  • Urban Lily – ethereal, happy, airy, crisp

These are unlike anything I’ve ever worn before.  They’re complex, eccentric, mysterious, and not for the wallflowers!  You’ll find that one spritz of an eau de parfum will garner you lots of positive attention so be prepared my Beauty Junkies.  My personal favorite is the Urban Lily.  I am just so “there” with the fresh cut grass and peppery herbs growing in the garden.  You truly have to experience these for yourself to fully appreciate the premium botanical essences– they’ll leave an impression you will not soon forget.
