Currently Loving: Dior Diorskin Nude Hydrating Glow Makeup

by Amber on March 17, 2009

in foundation,makeup,new products,product reviews

I’m absolutely loving about 749 foundations right now, and one of them is the new Diorskin Nude Hydrating Glow Makeup!  This stuff is amazing.  It looks just like skin, feels cool and moist, but not to the point of making me too shiny.  It makes my skin very radiant and bright, ensuring complexion perfection!

Available in 12 shades, it delivers beauty to all skin shades with the luxury Dior is known for.  This is a revolution in a new era of mineral makeup blending 100% natural pigments with active mineralized water to deliver flawless coverage, natural incandescence, and texture that mimics the skin.  I’m very fair and the lightest shade, Ivory 010 was a perfect match.

Try this if you can!

I am *dying* to try this foundation! It sound so wonderful. It seems like it would feel so light and breathable for spring/summer. I’m really into foundation that looks like skin. Does it stay on well throughout the day? What setting powder do you like to use?

I’ve had a couple bottles of Dior Forever Foundation, and I liked it a lot (the pump is a huge plus) but this will definitely be my next foundation splurge! :)

Hey Glossy!

I love seeing you here! I’ve worn it a few ways. I’ve worn it minus primer + Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil= gorgeous. I’ve worn it minus powder + Make Up For Ever HD primer= goof proof all day. Primer + Diorskin Nude + Mineral Veil after a few hours kind of gathered a little bit but not terrible. I think the less you wear with this is probably the best! It just makes your skin glow au naturale!

Thanks for the suggestions! I know what you’re saying, I will try to forgo the powder and just use a primer when I get it because I don’t like how powder detracts from foundations that are meant to glow or have a satiny finish (but I usually always powder so I can get my makeup to last). I’m currently challenging myself to get away from old makeup habits, though! :)

I had a small sample of this and it is awesome! It goes on really smooth and even, and feels like you arent even wearing any at all. My skin looked perfect! I am on a crazy hunt now to buy some, or loads.

I have just bought the Diorskin Nude foundation no. 010 myself and the shade is lovely, however ………….. I am a bit concerned that alchohol is listed as the third ingredient. Alcohol is very bad for the skin as it causes cronic irritation in the deep layers which in turn causes serious problems. I don’t know????

AmberNo Gravatar May 23, 2010 at 5:09 pm

Hi darlngdreamer,

You should be able to look into the reasons why alcohol is in cosmetic products here:

http://www.cosmeticsinfo.org/ingredient_details.php?ingredient_id=504

It’s commonly used help maintain a product’s consistency and prevent it from being too thick. I couldn’t ever guarantee something like that, but if you haven’t ever had irritation from a product that contains alcohol before–I don’t know if this would be any different ;)

Good luck!
