I’m mostly drawn to primers that have a lot of slip to them, and that slip usually comes from silicone in the formulas. While I don’t recall ever having any skin problems due to a silicone based primer, I know that some people have– or just don’t really care for the texture. I was really pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the new Korres Face Primer because it’s actually silicone free! It has more of a creamy texture yet it still gave me a great base for foundation that didn’t move around during the day. The Korres Face Primer is of 98.93% natural origin– about as close as you can get, and contains 11.19% organic ingredients. So all of my more “green” and natural product loving lovlies will be pleased!
Upon first impression, you’d almost think it was a moisturizer because of the white creamy texture. And it feels like a moisturizer too, if you have oilier skin you may want to try using this on it’s own before your foundation to see if it gives you what you need before you try wearing it with your moisturizer underneath… just an idea! It’s loaded in vitamin E which is a phenomenal anti-oxidant to help the fight against free radicals and smells as if you had just peeled a grapefruit, which always smells fresh!
If you need a primer that’s mineral oil, paraben, and silicone free– I suggest checking this one out. Heck! Even if you don’t necessarily need that in a primer, I’d still check it out.
