After rumors that Stila was closing up shop for good, there may be some light at the end of this very dark tunnel. I don’t have all of the details yet, but it seems as though the brand has been spared and will be back in business soon. But how soon, no one knows exactly. My understanding of Stila’s woes was that they were undergoing major “financial restructuring” and that the makeup brand’s future was very uncertain. It is now being reported that Stila was sold by Sun Capital Partners to Patriarch Partners for an undisclosed sum. Let’s hope that new ownership will treat our beloved Stila brand right and breathe some life back into a flatlining cosmetic junkie’s heart.
