Review: TriDerma MD Extreme Dryness PLUS

It’s not the prettiest visual in the world, but I’ve got some super-dry elbows.  I have only the best of intentions of keeping them moisturized but sometimes I just forget even though there are at least two kinds of moisturizer in my immediate vicinity at all times.  I tend to lean on my poor left elbow as it’s in the worst shape compared to my right and I’ve used several lotions and creams that have eased up the scaliness– but nothing that’s actually getting rid of it altogether and preventing it.  It’s so bad that sometimes the skin on my elbow gets sore!

This is where TriDerma MD Extreme Dryness PLUS enters the picture, notice how the plus is capitalized?  It must be reeeeeally good!  *hee hee*  This is a medical strength skin healing cream that’s completely fragrance free, and also paraben free.  I know that’s important to a lot of people so I wanted to get that in there.  Vitamins A, B, D, and E combined with a virgin organic aloe complex are healing to the skin– and according to TriDerma, their proprietary complex contains over 200 healing properties.  Pretty interesting stuff if I may say!

I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks now and have been consistently applying it to the angry elbows every night.  The directions state to use it 1-3 times daily but since it’s been on my nightstand and not in my face during the day I haven’t remembered to apply it during the day, my bad!  The good news is that I’m happy to report it has made a visible difference in the skin on my elbows, especially the not-so-pretty one and has helped ease that soreness I’ve been experiencing.  I imagine it would work even better if I was a good girl and applied it daily too!  This can be a little tricky to find, I actually found TriDerma’s products in the first-aid section at my local drugstore, so make sure you check there if you don’t happen to see it in skincare!  If you’re experiencing this kind of dryness I would say at least give this a shot.

The Extreme Dryness PLUS and other TriDerma products can be found on their website and select locations of CVS, Duane Reade, Walgreens, Target, and Kroger.
