I’m confused – how did you get not to wear a base coat? I’m excited for these, too, but as dark as they are going to be, I wouldn’t dream of wearing them without a base coat to prevent staining. I can see going without the top, to avoid shiny, tho.

The base coat info came from Zoya, perhaps it interferes with the longevity of the formula… I can only guess at this point. Since it doesn’t last as long as regular polish, I’d have to think it’s not a very sticky formula to begin with. I’ll be your guinea pig and we’ll stain my nails dark first! lol
