Review: Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

Review: Boscia Luminizing Black Mask

I have wanted to sit down and write a review for this product for several weeks now, and it's been killing me that I haven't physically been able to.  My arm is feeling a little better today so I figured I better jump on it!  When I first read about the new Boscia Luminizing Black ...

Review: LipSense by SeneGence Long Lasting Liquid Lip Color

How many times have you purchased a lippie that promised to be long wearing, only to wind up so disappointed that it quickly found it's way to the bottom of your makeup stash or nearest trash can?  It's happened to me more times than I care to remember.  True long wearing lip colors are out ...

Serious Coverage: These concealers are no joke!

by Amber on May 18, 2009

in concealer,new products,product reviews

Scars, bruises, varicose veins, monster zits, dark circles and tiny tattoos beware.  You have met your match with these two heavy duty and faboo concealers from Laura Geller and Kat Von D.  These formulas are seriously no joke, use them sparingly and be ah-mazed!

Laura Geller “The Real Deal” Concealer — This silicone based concealer worked wonders on a red Mount Vesuvius flare-up that I woke up with last week courtesy of PMS.  Dark circles, vanished.  You MUST use the tiniest dot of this concealer because it is serious coverage indeed.  This one leaves no survivors, all the bad stuff is banished.  Poof!

Kat Von D for Sephora Tattoo Concealer — An oil-free and super long wearing formula, this was tested in several areas on my face and body.  It did a beautiful job on dark circles with it’s ability to provide adjustable coverage.  I wanted to see if I could really cover a small tattoo I have and it sure did!  I built up the coverage in 2 thin layers, and anyone who didn’t know it was already there would have been none the wiser!  An icky spider-vein I have also got the silent treatment with this concealer that does not play games.

We’ve seen two great ones, but you can check out some of the worst-rated concealers here!

I love this review because I’ve been curious about heavy-duty concealers but I want to know the details from a real person who has actually tested them. So thanks! :) And it’s pretty genius that Kat Von D. made a tattoo concealer, huh?

I’ll have to give that a try! Right now I’m addicted to Kevyn Aucoin’s concealer. Not cheap, but you only need a tiny bit so the pot is lasting me forever!

I think Kat is the biggest tattoo artist ever. Her tattoos are just amazing. I love to watch LA ink with her.
