How can you improve a Q-tip? Put it in a vanity pack.

by Amber on June 19, 2009

in new products,personal care,product reviews

Here’s something I bet you didn’t know about me:  If you ever want to see me go legally insane, take away my Q-tips.  I guarantee you that within 24 hours, I will start ripping apart drawers and cabinets to find that one runt Q-tip that fell out of the package when I thought it was empty.  If I’m not successful there, I’ll start climbing the walls and speaking in tongues until you feel sorry for me and give me one because I’m neurotic about feeling ANYTHING icky inside of my ears.  I know we’re not supposed to stick anything inside our ears that’s smaller than an elbow, but seriously– this is an issue that I have.  Q-tip dependency.  It just feels sooooooo right.

Once my ears have been satisfied, I’ll use them for little beauty tricks like smudging my eyeliner purposely and wiping away smudges of mascara that weren’t put there so purposely.  So it goes without saying– they are pretty irreplaceable in my world.  Before I even knew about the new Q-tip Vanity Packs– last week my husband and I held a serious discussion where we were commiserating with each other about the poor choice we made in buying an off-brand of cotton swabs last time instead of real Q-tips just to save a few cents.  They just are not the same.  And yes– this is a prime example of the heated and passionate topics that are debated in my household.  How could one improve such a genius invention like the Q-tip?

Put it in a cute and colorful vanity pack!  Behold, my vanity (where the magic happens):

I hereby declare that cute little Q-tip Vanity Pack sitting next to my brush holder one of the most practical beauty products in the world!  It’s a space-saving and more sanitary way of keeping them handy, and so much more attractive (to me at least) than that box that opens up in the back and is impossible to keep shut.  One of my chief complaints is how a standard box is so long and takes up so much space in my limited cabinets– remember, I have to share space now with that man I married.  I think I’ll keep him, so I’ll start purchasing the new vanity packs because they’ll free up some precious drawer-space, satisfy my Q-tip dependency issues and also please me aesthetically.  I can’t think of many things better than that!

I thought I was the only ‘icky-ear-aphobe’ in the world. I carry a travel pack in my purse! Great find. I have to keep my eyes out for them during my next shopping trip.
