I love Borba water and other “beauty beverages”, don’t get me wrong! But for thousands of years, good old-fashioned tea has been the ultimate beauty beverage. Known for it’s phytonutrients and superb antioxidant benefits, drinking it may mean more than enjoying something that just tastes good! Researchers have proven that it has several beauty and health benefits from prolonging the skin’s aging process to lowering bad cholesterol (LDL) levels. While I can’t make any health claims here for you, I can speak for myself– when I was told a few years ago to lower my cholesterol “or else”, I got worried. At that time I couldn’t think of a single reason why it would be so high since I was eating well and I was working out 3 times a week. After reading about the benefits of EGCG (a powerful antioxidant found in green tea), I picked up a bottle of Dr. Brandt’s Anti-Oxidant Water Booster drops and drank them religiously for a few months. I am not exaggerating in the slightest bit when I tell you that my cholesterol dropped so much on my follow-up lab results that my doctor insisted on knowing what exactly I had done to make such a difference. When I told him it was the Dr. Brandt drops, he was half ecstatic, half in disbelief. That’s when my beliefs in the powers of drinking tea were confirmed.
Aside from the tea-miracle in my Dr. Brandt story, I actually get enjoyment from sipping tea. I feel soothed and relaxed when I reach for it, that alone makes it a substantial beauty product. Think of all of the years stress puts on your face– sitting down to chill out with a cup of tea will add up over time! It’s also been said that green tea has the ability to kill the bacteria that causes bad breath, so if you’re in a meeting and you’re worried about funky breath– reach for a cup of hot tea and pass on the coffee! You’ll find green tea in the ingredients of some of your favorite skincare products since there are also topical antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, you just can’t go wrong. Let’s not forget that it’s the best tasting zero-calorie beverage on the planet if you pass on the cream & sugar! You can also reuse your brewed tea bags once they’ve completely cooled down as quick little de-puffing eye treatments.
For fabulous and delicious assortments of loose-leaf teas, I suggest checking out The Village Tea Company or Teavana. If you don’t have time to steep or want to enjoy the benefits on-the-go, try Dr. Brandt’s Anti-Oxidant Water Booster drops where one dropper full in a bottle of water is the equivalent of 15 cups of decaf green tea!

I use to use Dr. Brandt’s Anti-Oxidant Water Booster drops, too! Until I became too cheap. :/ I wish they were less expensive, but I agree, very awesome.
Hey Valerie! YAY! I’m so glad someone else is familiar with them too
