Review: The Hana Mini Ceramic Flat Iron is hot stuff!

I’m such a lover of flat irons, it’s borderline ridiculous.  For someone with flat hair, it seems kind of silly but now you can do so much more with them than you could with let’s say– your huge Conair one from ages ago.  You know the I’m talking about too… remember the metal plates?  Yuck!  I’m so glad ceramic technology has taken over.  Just because I have flat hair doesn’t mean it looks straight and silky on it’s own because believe me, it doesn’t!  I welcome the challenge of any heat tool gladly, any day.

Here’s the super adorable baby blue Hana Mini ceramic flat iron with tourmaline:

When I first opened this baby (literally!) up, I thought “There is NO way this is going to work.”  When it’s collapsed, it’s only 5 inches!  Looks can be deceiving.  But then, you slide the plates out and it becomes a full-sized flat iron at 8 inches.  How nifty.  I had a glimmer of hope in my eyes when I read the booklet it came with and come to find out– it has a fixed heat at 410 degrees, that’s HOT!  Instantly I recanted my previous statement and kept my fingers crossed.  Come on little Hana, don’t let me down!

This little bugger did everything a regular sized flat-iron does.  You should have seen me in my bathroom– perfectly straight hair on one side of my head, and curls on the other side of it.  I went to town with the Hana Mini!  Luckily, my husband is quite used to seeing me in various states of disarray with everything I test and I don’t think anything shocks him anymore.  He doesn’t even notice when I have one side of my face completely dolled up and the other side completely bare now that I think of it, how embarrassing!  Another little perk of this I really appreciated was the included little silver storage case, making it travel-friendly while protecting it.  If you need touch-ups, poker straight hair, soft curls, or flips– this might be a good solution for you!  While you’re at it, give the Hana Shine Shield a shot too as an additional thermal barrier that infuses even more shine.  This little mini is seriously hot stuff!  It also comes in baby pink too, even better.
