Did you know that hyperhidrosis, otherwise known as excessive sweating is sometimes treated with Botox injections? That’s a little too much for me dolls, I know desperate times call for desperate measures but you won’t see me at the dermatologist getting Botox under my arms any time soon… or ever. I’ve reviewed several antiperspirants and wetness fighters in the past few months, but it appears I’ve missed a few big ones! These 3 products pack some of the highest amounts of aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex GLY you can get over-the-counter, and they fight perspiration like a pack of fearless superheroes. Wear those tank tops without fear and hug people with reckless abandon, no one will ever know you’re one step away from Botoxing your pits! Have no fear, help is near:
• DERMAdoctor MEDeTATE (hyperhidrosis control wipes) — You can use these individually packaged wipes on your underarms, palms, soles, and even your face! More on that in a sec… but I used these wipes under my arms and my bust-line and I’m not kidding when I say I was as dry as the Sahara, ALL DAY. The ingredients somewhat mimic the sweat inhibiting properties of Botox and are much, much cheaper. At $48 for 30 wipes, it’s not exactly cheap I know. But consider the alternative! If you have a special day or a hot date that you’re going to be doing the Lambada on, you can use one of these wipes on clean, dry facial skin under your makeup and I double dare your makeup to fall off in hot or humid conditions. It’s not something I would do daily, it’s a little drying but occasionally I think it’s okay. It’s a little easier than the bizarre deodorant trick that my pal was talking about the other day! One caution, don’t use this on freshly shaved skin or you’ll be doing the ouchie dance! Another benefit to the wipes, they’re handy for travel and you can tuck one in your handbag if you’re a little under pressure on a stressful day at the office or randomly yanked into a meeting or presentation you had no idea was coming!
• Secret Clinical Strength WATERPROOF Advanced Solid — With an active ingredient strength of 20% (the highest you can obtain without a prescription) and clinically proven waterproof protection, this seriously worked for me around-the-clock… until the next morning with no problem. For 24 hours I did not worry about moisture or odor and that’s pretty nice peace of mind to have, especially when Summer calls for less clothing. If you’re going for a quick dip this is great since it’s waterproof, you should still be protected after you towel off! This may sound nuts, but if you apply this before bed as well, it tricks your underarms into resisting the urge to sweat throughout the day too, it’s like a little preventative maintenance.
• Degree Women Clinical Protection (Classic Romance) — If you want all of the clinical benefits the others offer but a more feminine fragrance than what’s available in most of the wetness & odor fighting champions, you may want to check out Degree’s Clinical Protection in the Classic Romance scent. Classic Romance is one of the choices from Degree’s Fine Fragrance Collection, so if you liked it and perhaps it just wasn’t powerful enough for you, bump yourself up to Clinical Protection and see if that does the trick.
Stay cool as a cucumber my lovelies! Do you have any tricks you’ve learned along the way to combat these issues? Do tell… don’t be shy!

I would totally choose one of these wipes over that other crazy method!
I love your idea–not to use on a regular basis but to keep in your purse for one of those moments of extreme pressure when you just know that you’re going to be sweating bullets. Such a great “safety net” to have when you really need it.
Excellent review!
Very cool! I was planning on getting those wipes after hearing about them, so its nice to see a review. My friends and I are definitely going to use them at a wedding we’re all going to next month!
Hi Trude!
The MEDeTATE wipes will be perfect for the wedding! Have fun

Hiya R my pal
The pads are sooooo awesome for all of those things. They prove the efficacy of the deodorant trick for the face but I still couldn’t do it all the time, that’s for sure. I sweat bullets, even when I have no reason to– must be because I’m so hot!
lol These super help me A TON.
