While my Normal-Dry Shampoo and Medium Conditioner combo from HerCut is pretty nice and weightless, I’d have to say the hero product of the line is The Catalyst! The dual-phasic styling product combines two formulas as you pump to make your hair literally snap-out-of-it and get with the program. Each Catalyst is individually designed and formulated to maximize the performance of your cut’s style. The molecules and polymers in this unique formula gave my hair an attitude adjustment, seriously! While this wasn’t a one-way ticket to hair Easy Street, it did make my styling session (which is usually full of expletives and aggravation) easier and faster. I’ll drink to that!

I’m with BeautyBuyer on this one. A product has to be really top notch to stand out on today’s beauty shelves. This one… not so much. I like to consider myself pretty in the know when it comes to beauty, like you Amber! This product falls short on many levels. The packaging makes it look like a kitschy novelty item for a certain age group, and the smell is heavily perfumed and intense. This Catalyst does not seem to do anything that any other styling product out there already does in spades.
Personally, Redken never lets me down.

Thanks for chiming in, I like most Redken products too by the way! One of the things I really liked about HerCut was it’s packaging actually, the simplicity of it makes it easy to determine what the best products would be for your needs out of the line instead of being overwhelmed with so many choices. If it didn’t work for you either– I realize that the packaging concept or the product didn’t do you any good!
My hopes are that all brands will make themselves in touch with us here in the blogosphere and hear our cries! That way, they can continue to improve their product formulas and innovate new ideas to make most beauty product connoisseurs like us happy
