Winter skin savers to the rescue!

Winter Skin Rescue

As temperatures drop and the holidays near, I already know what I’m in for– many Winter nights spent scratching my arms in my sleep, while my days are spent covered in pants because my legs are lookin’ so dry and flaky!  They say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, right?  Here are some suggestions for great Winter skin savers to help soothe and prevent the woes of flaky limbs.

Neutrogena Soothing Wrap Body Lotion — Thicker than a lotion, lighter than a body butter, Soothing Wrap uses colloidal oatmeal to relieve dry, itchy skin without a greasy texture left behind.  It’s pretty powerful for not being a body balm/butter, protecting skin from moisture loss all day– and also leaves behind a delicate freesia scent. (also available in fragrance-free formula)

Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel — Johnson’s reinvents the wheel with this update on classic baby oil, a gel formula to lock in moisture and soothe chafed skin.  Bye bye mess!  The mess-free formula makes it easier to apply and leave skin silky smooth.

Reversital Microdermastick Body — You would have to see it to believe it, but this unique stick is a 3-in-1 body microdermabrasion treatment, moisturizer, and skin cleanser.  Housed in a tube that looks much like a deodorant stick, you simply moisten the stick and gently massage your hands, elbows, and feet to reveal fresh and vibrant skin once you rinse it away.

Curel Itch Defense Moisture Lotion — This fragrance-free formula helps to rebalance the skin to restore it’s moisture barrier while minimizing the itch that uncomfortable dryness causes.  With a protective petrolatum and glycerin base, it’s not fancy or frilly– but it means business!

Kiehl’s Imperial Body Balm — You might be taken by surprise when you open the jar, this rich balm is bright yellow-orange due to it’s hero ingredient, Sea Buckthorn Berry.  Known for it’s incredibly powerful regenerative abilities, Sea Buckthorn Berry oil is paired with honey and fruit-based glycolic acids, shea butter, and squalane to knock very dry skin out of the ballpark!  It doesn’t hurt that it smells sweet and yummy either!

I agree with Lou – I bought it on their website and it came in this cute white pouch with a coupon for a discount on the next purchase…am loving it! I use it in the am or the pm and it is sooo easy and yet it helps fix my skin..I glow afterwards. Maybe it is the grapeseed in it which brightens my skin..I don’t know but it really perks up the way I look and my makeup looks amazing afterwards. Highly recommended! Now I want to try the body product too.
