MoxieFirst, I feel it is my duty to issue some words of wisdom to any man in the world who would question our needs for such “frivolities” as you may commonly refer to them during our monthly gifts from Mother Nature.  It’s best to keep your thoughts to yourselves–it’s very likely you will wind up with a bruised ego and one less tooth than you originally had.  (My husband already knows when it comes to things like these, silence is truly golden.)

Someone actually got it right–a simple way to make us feel a little better during that time of the month when we’re bloated as all hell and digging in the back of our closets for our “I’m on my period, I’m here, and I’m miserable.  Now get out of my face and leave me alone.” clothes.  And that’s putting it mildly I think.  I’ve dreamed of pretty maxi pads in discreet pink packages adorned with candy stripes, polka dots, and bows.  Really, I have!  A little company from Australia finally fulfilled my secret wishes and now I have Moxie to take the dread out of dreadful, imagine that.

Fashion meets function with Moxie’s premium line of pads, maxis, and panty liners–complete with utterly adorable crush-proof purse tins to store them in while you’re on the go.  At home, they sit discreetly in pretty 1930′s-esque boudoir boxes.  I also get a dose of daily affirmations when I pull out my packages to see “Breathe Easy” and “Sleep Tight” imprinted on the wrappers.  So maybe these cost a little bit more than what we’ve been paying for years for our dull-as-dirt feminine needs, but who cares?  We deserve it, plain and simple.  Now available in the US, you’ll find them at Duane Reade and Drugstore.com.

An editorial sample was provided by the company and evaluated to determine my opinion of the product in this post.  Please see the Disclosures page for further information regarding my policies for using editorial samples.
