Currently Loving: CosMedix Define Vitamin A Resurfacing Treatment

CosMedix DefineWith the official start of winter just around the corner, your skin can look a little blah with all of the weather changes.  Here in Southern California it’s been fluctuating several times a week!  We have these chilly days with the winds kicking up all kinds of crud in the air, and then two days later it can return to a sunny 80°, all of which is perfect for making my face look kinda “eh”.  The color looks a little dull, I seem to accumulate more blackhead congestion in my t-zone area than usual, and my skin feels a little rough to the touch.  I think we can all do without that!  I’ve been using CosMedix Define for several weeks now and have to say I’m quite impressed!

One of the skincare world’s secret weapons is a little ol’ thing called retinol–a kinder, gentler form of Vitamin A found in over-the-counter products that helps fight fine lines and wrinkles as it has the power to stimulate collagen formation in the skin and fight off some of the enzymes that break down all of the good stuff we’ve got going for us!  With the proprietary blend of gentle acids and 2% AGP Complex in CosMedix Define, I’ve experienced some smoothing and resurfacing benefits with cumulative use on a nightly basis.  The lightweight moisturizer goes a long way–just a little dab spreads easily on my freshly cleansed skin before bedtime, and then it starts a little remodeling job!  The first few times I applied it, I felt just a little tingling sensation but nothing intolerable or anything that caused me alarm, it did dissipate with continued use.  I highly recommend the use of a sunscreen whenever you’re using any product like this as it can cause increased sun sensitivity with daytime sun exposure.  Define has a fresh citrus scent and also provides mild hydration benefits–my skin really loved that I used it.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), L-lactic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycerin, Albumen, AGP Complex, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, L-malic Acid, L-tartaric Acid, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, D-alpha-tocopherol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Allantoin, Lecithin, L-alpha-bisabolol, Benzyl Alcohol, Fullersomes, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Prunus Persica (Peach) Kernel Oil

Oh, I just started mine last night! Glad to hear you like it – I’m always nervous when I start a new skincare product.

Hi Meredith :) How ya doin’ sweets?

I think this stuff really rocked! Once I stepped over the threshold into my 30′s, I noticed that enzymes and Vitamin A make such a difference in that lackluster “blah” I developed. Thank God for luminizing makeup! LOL Some Vit. A can be too harsh for me and I was worried that might be the case because everything I’ve tried from CosMedix has been pretty active! But I didn’t get a single flake from Define ;) I get scared too when I’m trying out something new–I hear ya!
