Beauty To-Go: Best Products To Travel With

by Amber on December 16, 2009

in body wash / shower gel,exfoliation,foundation,makeup,men,new products,product reviews,skincare

I absolutely dread packing for travel.  Regardless of where I’m going and for how long, there seems to be a reoccurring theme: I either pack too much, which the airline charges extra for (on top of their already ridic prices), or I forget an essential.  Like, hello!  I’m left to my own devices looking for any drugstore in Anytown USA to grab a tube of mascara because I went off and forgot mine on the bathroom counter.  How can some people make it look like Bree Van de Kamp packed for them?  Despite my own version of perfectionism, it looks more like Messy Marvin packed for me.

While I can’t offer any tips to pack like a pro, I can offer up some stellar travel product suggestions that will help you travel light(er)!  Throw these in your luggage and you’re good to go:

Liz Earle Essentials Try Me Kit — Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser 1 fl.oz tube + 1 pure muslin cloth, Instant Boost Skin Tonic 1.6 fl.oz bottle, and Skin Repair Moisturiser 0.5 fl.oz tube – Normal/combination & Dry/sensitive in a zip-up kit will help minimize the skin dehydration we often get from air travel.

Privé’s “Amplify on the Fly” Travel Kit* — The different water you’ll be washing your hair with in another city might make it fall flat!  Grab these travel-sized faves: Amplifying Shampoo, Shining Weightless Amplifier, and Finishing Spray to avoid the frump.

Redken for Men Mint Essentials Travel Kit* — I couldn’t leave out the fellas!  With travel sizes of Redken’s latest & greatest products for men from the new mint line, Mint Clean Invigorating Shampoo, Cool Finish Invigorating Conditioner, Mint Fix Sweat-Resist Gel, and Mint Rush Hair & Body Wash–this one is fab.

Tarte Natural Beauty 7 Piece Natural Complexion CollectionFor all of those holiday photos you’ll be in, you want complexion perfection, so here ya go!  This travel bag contains 1.16 oz Clean Slate T5 Infused Natural Primer, 1 oz ReCreate Natural Anti-Aging Foundation with Wrinkle Rewind Technology, 0.19 oz The Eraser 4-in1 Natural Concealer, 0.15 oz Provocateur Pressed Mineral Powder, 0.15 oz Mineral Powder Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess, and a Travel Foundation Brush (available in fair, light, medium, and deep)

Couture Couture Eau de Parfum Roll-On — You’ll want to smell pretty, but don’t take a whole bottle of your best-smelling juice with you!  Take a beauty mini like this one from Juicy Couture.  This citrus and floral perfume is super flirty!

Body Conscience The 3-Minute Shower Jar* — Why pack a shower gel, a scrub, AND a moisturizer when you can have all three in one jar?  Cleanse, moisturizer, glow and go! (Renew is my favorite scent, it’s a white vanilla orchid treat.)
