Review & Swatches: Maybelline Sweet Thing Collection Nail Color

Last week, I was perusing Nouveau Cheap and caught a peek at her adventures in locating all of the products in the new limited edition Maybelline Sweet Thing Collection.  Call me a sucker, but the second I saw the cupcake graphic in the display art, I knew everyone would probably like to see it as much as I did!  Sweet Thing includes five Color Sensational Lip Glosses, six Eye Express Cream Shadow Sticks, four Expert Wear Eye Duos, and eight new Express Finish Nail Color shades.  So without further ado, here are the new nail colors…

Bubble Pink — soft, pale pink
Sweetie Pie — pale peach
Sweet Clementine — bright orange
Pink Sophistication –  bubblegum pink
Pie In The Sky — sky blue
Minty — mint green
Goody Plum Drop — purple/plum
Candy Coated — vibrant fuchsia

I am drawn to this collection like an oasis in the desert!  These new nail polishes are sweet, girly, fun, and feminine…but I’d have to say Candy Coated and Goody Plum Drop are my picks for faves!  One of the things I like about these Express Finish Nail Colors is that they are super fast drying, but I didn’t exactly time them, even though the bottle says 50 seconds.  After the first coat I worried the coverage would be spotty, but with coat two, everything leveled out nicely and I was good to go and dry in a few minutes.  These are ideal for quick-changes or if you just want to pick up a few to own some fun pops of color.
