I have to say that two of the beauty-related nuisances I fear most are chapped lips and dry hands, both make me pretty miserable! Once they reach a certain point, they seem impossible to repair (or at least I’m just too impatient to wait), and as a result–you’ll find me slathering my lips and hands in more balms and creams than I care to admit. Here are three hand creams that I’ve been using lately to curb the tight, dry, and chapped feeling hands often endure:
Miss Oops Butter Hands Hand Cream with SPF 30 – Miss Oops scores a 10 for both cuteness and function with Butter Hands, an extremely hydrating and protective hand cream with the added benefits of an SPF 30. If you drive or are the slightest bit concerned about making sure your hands never tell your age–your daytime hand cream must have sunscreen, you’d be surprised what a beating the sun gives your hands through your car’s windows! Butter Hands is in an adorable a mint green tube marked with the measurements you’d find on the wrapper of a stick of butter. The dense moisturizer is also the perfect shade of butter yellow and smells great (but no butter here). Your hands will thank you after they soak up all of the hydrating sesame seed oil, protecting allantoin, and super healing Kokum seed butter instead of soaking up the sun.
OPI Avoplex High-Intensity Hand & Nail Cream — If you’ve ever felt like your skin was about two sizes too small for your hands after you’ve gotten in bed for the night, you might wish to keep a tube of Avoplex on your nightstand! A healthy dose of cocoa butter, avocado oil, and sweet almond oil in this cream delivers skin nourishment and protection to your hands and nails (it feels pretty great on my heels, too). The yummy sweet citrus scent doesn’t hurt either!
Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion — This one is no joke! Health care workers and habitual hand washers alike should love Natural Shielding lotion, it seals in moisture–even after washing your hands. Creating a barrier against dryness without feeling sticky or greasy, the combined benefits of aloe, Vitamin E, and chamomile offer skin protection in this formula that’s both paraben and fragrance-free. It literally just feels different!
What hand moisturizers do you find work best?

I can’t stray from Aveda’s hand lotion. I’ve got everyone I know hooked on it too! You can feel its effects immediately, it isn’t too thin, and even after you wash your hands it’s still there.
