Any time I’m feeling stressed, if I grab a few bottles of polish and start swatching–all of my cares and worries slip away! Nail polish is one of my favorite “distractions”, if you will. I recently had a chance to try out some shades from Deborah Lippmann, and in all honesty I didn’t know what to expect because I’ve never used any of her shades before. Deborah’s got a portfolio that will knock your socks off, and her who’s who roster of celebrity clientele rivals those of the most popular fashion designers. She’s that good.
I tried out I’m Not Innocent, Waking Up In Vegas (TO DIE FOR), and Wicked Game…here’s what’s up!
I’m Not Innocent was worn during NYFW on the models at the Jill Stuart show, but was first worn by Marion Cotillard during promos for Nine. That’s a pretty swanky start for this creamy peach which will be gracing plenty of fingers and toes this spring as temps warm up! I completely agree with it being called a “creamy” peach, because it’s not quite opaque and not quite sheer either. I love the texture of these as they apply, the color saturation and length of wear is also there with the Lippmann shades I tried. I put Waking Up In Vegas (the pretty gray creme) through nail-hell for a week as I beat it up with some home office reorganization and lots of keyboard banging and it fared quite well, all things considered! Waking Up In Vegas is the next generation of hot gray nail polishes. But leave the breathtaking to Wicked Game, a lavender duo-chrome that takes on shades of green and blue as it dances with the light. This shade reminds me of an abalone shell. I thought these leveled out nicely and I achieved optimal coverage with just two coats each.
Any of these catch your eye?

I love my rosy cheeks! They perk up pink whenever I’m happy!

I love all of the colors, in particular Waking up In Vegas. Will have to keep my eyes out for that!
