Have you ever checked out Elain Cosmetics?  If you have, I have a bone to pick with you–why didn’t you tell me to give the line some attention?  They have some beautiful shade selections–I tried three products from the line, let’s check them out together!

Catch Me Star Powder — Quite possibly one of the easiest loose eyeshadows I’ve ever used!  Black Star is a super versatile shade that can be applied lighter for daytime looks and is easy to amp up for night.  I applied it over the Sparkle Stick (Aqua Blue) for a fun duo-chrome effect.  The applicator makes applying it very user-friendly, especially if working with loose shadows makes you break a sweat!

Sparkle Stick Glitter Highlighter – Typically, glitter isn’t a friend of mine.  It’s reserved for fun occasions but I like the versatility of the Sparkle Stick.  It’s got great color saturation that applies nice and smooth without any waxy feel.  It wears pretty well and I prefer to use it as an eyeshadow base to add some dimension.  The glitter in it is pretty fine, not too chunky!

3D Electric Lash Mascara — One of the things I noticed immediately is that this isn’t a very “wet” formula, but it’s a little bit drier which makes the fibers in it pretty prominent so that they kind of lay on your lashes.  I didn’t really experience anything dramatic in the volume department, but I really liked the lengthening effect that was almost feathery.  No smudges was an extra plus.

All three products were used in this simple look:

Apply the Sparkle Stick all over the lid and line the entire eye, top & bottom.  Apply Catch Me Star Powder on top of the Sparkle Stick on lid, and darken in outer crease.  Coat lashes with 3D Electric Lash as desired.

    Hey R!

Thanks girlie! I’ve never been nuts about blue, but I found it easy to make it more wearable by layering, since the Star Powder was a breeze work with. I think you’d really like them! I also found the line at a beauty supply near my house and after seeing all the shades I thought Bronze Star would look great on you ;)
