Right now, I’m in heaven. I’ve been searching for a fragrance that would make me feel as if I were standing in the middle of a rain forest. Found it! CLEAN Outdoor Shower Fresh is what I imagine it would be like–simple, crisp, and sparkling. It’s not your average eau de parfum, it’s slightly herb-y but very feminine at the same time which I think is a difficult blend to achieve. Right off the top I get a sense of the violet leaves and water lily notes which dries down to a slightly effervescent water base, it’s a little sweet with the faintest hint of sandalwood. I thought it was a gorgeous spring fragrance and it’s actually a favorite of my husband right now who loves the way it smells on me which is definitely a feat!
I wanted to give attention to a point of difference with CLEAN–they’ve recently reformulated their line by making a few earth-friendly adjustments like using corn-derived alcohol which means they’ve kissed the synthetic stuff goodbye! You’ll find that they’re infused with botanicals too, how many fragrance houses do you know that use aloe leaf juice in the base for moisturizing benefits? I honestly can’t think of any! If you’re already a CLEAN fan, you’ll want to give this one a whiff at ULTA or Sephora–or if you’re lured by leafy or watery scents, try not to miss this!
