If there are shortcuts to complexion perfection, I’m pretty sure Benefit’s new Confessions of a Concealaholic kit would make the list! This cute little “diary” contains all of Benefit’s most popular complexion enhancers in one adorable little storybook–complete with a mirror and step-by-step instructions for how to make the the perfect face.
Confessions of a Concealaholic includes:
- 0.25 oz “That Gal” brightening face primer
- 2 x 0.04 oz Boi-ing industrial strength concealer in 01 Light (for fair complexions) and 02 Medium (for medium complexions) for custom concealing
- 0.11 oz Erase Paste brightening camouflage for eyes and face in No. 2 (for medium complexions)
- 0.03 oz Lemon Aid (sheer pale yellow) color correcting eyelid primer
- 0.03 oz Eye Bright (pale pink) instant eye brightener
- Concealer Brushes
- step-by-step lesson
A little bit of a closer look:

I purposely didn’t blend the swatches into my skin too much just so that you could see the color-corrective pigments in them, and I think you get the idea!

Eye Bright is one of the very first Benefit products I ever purchased (about 10 gazillion years ago) and I have quite a fondess for it! It comes in a pencil form, but I really like it in the pan in this palette too. Eye Bright is one of those optical illusions for eyes that need a little perking up, and when blended on the inner and outer corners of the eyes–you’ll see what I mean!
Erase Paste is a pretty darn awesome (and very concentrated) concealer for under your eyes if you struggle with dark circles. Obviously, the Erase Paste shade in this kit is all wrong for me (it’s medium, and I’m fair) but you can see how it’s tone counteracts any darkness. It’s very creamy and a little goes a very long way. No heavy hands on the Erase Paste, m’kay?
Boi-ing 01 & 02 are also concealers but these are best for disguising annoying blemishes and redness. I like that the kit has both 01 & 02 so that you can customize your shade which is great. (There is a third shade of Boi-ing available individually for darker skin tones.) Boi-ing 01 works amazing for concealing the broken capillaries around my nose and doesn’t have a dry appearance as the day wears on.
Lemon-Aid was pretty much my gateway drug into eye primer! Many years ago when I got a little taste of how well it camouflaged veiny discolorations on my eyelids, that was it. I haven’t used it in quite a long time since, but now that I’ve been reminded of it’s awesomeness I’ll be using it more often when I’m going eyeshadow-free.
Okay, now–my favorite part of the kit… “That Gal” Brightening Face Primer. It is a primer, but it’s purpose isn’t so much to hold foundation in place like Smashbox Photo Finish, etc. It gives an angelic glow to the skin without feeling heavy or looking too shimmery and can be applied under or over makeup. Here’s a little peek at how it looks on my skin:

It gets rid of the dullness so easily and comes out of the tube pale pink, with just a tad of iridescence but blends down nicely in my opinion. I think that for $36, this is a good mix of quick skin fixes that should make both Benefit-loving babes and Concealaholics happy.
Have you tried any of the products included in Benefit’s Confessions of a Concealaholic kit? What do you think?

I love erase paste! It covers up any flaws in the skin and brightens under the eyes…I apply with a brush!
I have had this kit since it first came out and LOVE it! It has a little something for everyone. It is my go to kit in the morning and I use at least 2 of the products every day! This purchase was totally worth it!
