Must Buy This: Bare Escentuals BUXOM Stay-There Eyeshadow

I can hardly contain myself, I have not been this moved by an eyeshadow in quite some time.  Makeup obsession for me happens often, I admit.  But really, this one is different–I swear!  Say hello to my little friend, Bare Escentuals BUXOM Stay-There Eyeshadow.  I’m so obsessed with these, that if all of the shades were in stock for purchase this very minute, I would buy them ALL without even thinking twice.  Okay, okay!  But why?

When you uncap the tiny jar, the lid reveals this spongy-bouncy eyeshadow that you have to feel to understand.  It just begs you to touch it!  It’s this very pigmented creamy shadow that’s just wet enough to glide on, but dries quickly to an incredible, high-impact, no-budge color.  I’ve only tried two out of the ten colors, but here’s the complete shade breakdown:

Black Lab — shimmering black sky
Bulldog — intense royal blue
Chihuahua — bright silver
Golden Retriever – vibrant copper red
Mutt — bronzed taupe
Poodle — pale yellow gold
Pug — smoky pewter
Saint Bernard — deep sea green
Schnauzer — vivid violet plum
Shih Tzu — gilded lime green

I have been applying these with my fingers (except to apply as liner on bottom lash line) because I don’t own the BUXOM Stay-There Eyeshadow Brush, and it’s still very easy.  They feel very weightless on the lid, and I had only the most minimal amount of creasing after some pretty lengthy wear yesterday and last night.  You can layer them, blend them, wear one color solo–it all works!  I really liked this oil-slick look I created with both Saint Bernard and Pug:

One thing you’ll have to watch for–make sure your puppies are capped tight so they don’t dry out.  The jar/cap combo on these makes them easy to close tightly, but I would still be mindful.  BUXOM Stay-There Eyeshadow is waterproof, non-greasy, paraben-free, and just plain awesome!  They’re Sephora exclusives, retailing for $17 and officially launch in August.  I cannot wait that long!  Will you be checking these out?
