Lancome is known for some pretty rocktastic mascaras, it’s hard not to have very high expectations of the new Lancome Definicils Precious Cells Mascara as a result. When they launch a new one, I think the pressure is on to make sure they’ve crossed all of their t’s and dotted every i. So how do you take an established class-act mascara like the original Definicils and make it better? Add plant cells, hyaluronic acid, and amino acids.

The intended result of Precious Cells is stronger, healthier, fuller, and more defined lashes. I’m always game for nourished, full, and voluminous lashes so I didn’t have any issues with lending my peepers to the cause. Only having it in my possession for about a week, I can’t speak to anything quantifiable when it comes to lash health. But what I can tell you is that this mascara makes a HUGE difference in my lashes, and in a good way!

Fuller? Check. Longer? Check. More defined? Yes! I honestly don’t know if any of these new-fangled technologies truly have an impact on lash health. I don’t doubt it, it’s definitely possible! But I can’t say that I have some incredible first-hand proof. Same thing goes for most of the skincare products I own, but I think they make a difference and I’m pleased with their performance. At the end of the day–it’s all that matters to me on a personal level! So I do like Definicils Precious Cells as much as the original, and hey! If it does what it claims, it’s that much better.

Are you a Lancome mascara fan? Why or why not?
