When the holiday collections start rolling out, I automatically hear “It’s the most wonderful time of the year…”, and I LOVE that holiday song! (Even if it is only October.) But OPI hopes you’ll be singing a different tune this holiday, especially when it comes to their collaboration with Burlesque; the new musical with a star-studded cast which includes Cher and Christina Aguilera, in theatres November 24th. A collection of 12 stunning shades—six shimmering metallics and six fantastic glitters have already gotten me all riled up!
“OPI is thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems on this exciting movie release,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “The colors were modeled off the majestic glamour, over-the-top costumes and mesmerizing Cabaret that are typically seen in Burlesque performances. The resulting bright, dazzling shades are perfect for the holiday season.”
Ready to see some swatches of the shimmers? I’ll have all of the glitters coming up for you later this week in Part 2, as this collection is literally too dazzling to try to cram into one post! (Edited to add: you’ll find Part 2 here.)

The Show Must Go On is phenomenal. Depending on the angle—it will look almost fuchsia, but at other angles it takes on bronze and orange tones:
Tease-y Does It! found itself in my #2 must-have spot. It’s so rich with a burgundy base that’s almost dark plum with some fantastic shimmer effects:
And the remaining four shimmers, but spectacular all the same:
Let Me Entertain You!, Ali’s Big Break, Take The Stage, Rising Star
*All swatches were done with 2 coats of nail color and top coat
Okay, so what are we thinking? Impressed so far? Well, just wait until you see the six glitters in Part 2!
