You may be lusting over some of these pricey products to help get glam for the holidays—but use this quick list to get you through your “champagne taste on a beer budget” beauty cravings.  You’ll still be able to recreate some of the hottest looks of the season by getting luxe, for less!  Now you’re covered for lips, eyes, nails, and skin.

LUST: Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE PUR COUTURE SPF 15 Lipstick in 20 Rouge Flamme; $30, Sephora
MUST: Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor in Are You Red-dy; $8.29, drugstores

If you’re too afraid to rock a red lip any other time of the year, now is your chance to see how fabulous it feels (and looks)!  Our fave new festive red from YSL is gorgeous and feels incredible on the lips, but Maybelline’s Are You Red-dy is much more practical if you’ll only be wearing red lips a few times this season.

LUST: Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Paradoxal; $23, chanel.com
MUST: Revlon Nail Enamel in Perplex; $4.79, drugstores

Fall’s hottest nail color, Chanel Paradoxal is carrying over into winter with the recent popularity of it’s alter-ego, Revlon’s Perplex.  While not a perfect dupe—if you really wanted to splurge on Chanel but just didn’t have the heart (or the $23), Perplex is the way to go.

LUST: Guerlain Le 2 de Guerlain Volume Mascara in 13 Or 2 Nuit; $36, Sephora
MUST: Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Mascara Duo from the Glam Collection for holiday 2010; $10.95, drugstores

While I can’t deny that Guerlain’s dual-ended mascara sent shivers up my spine with it’s sheer gorgeousness (and the black mascara formula alone made my lashes look phenomenal), you can imitate those gilded lashes Guerlain does so well.  Check out the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Enhancing Mascara Duo from their Glam Collection in the bronze shade for closest results!

LUST: Dolce & Gabbana Crayon Intense Eyeliner in #4 Dahlia; $29, Saks Fifth Avenue
MUST: COVERGIRL Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Violet Voltage; $8.79, drugstores

Dolce & Gabbana’s own beauty, Scarlett Johansson may be GQ’s “Babe of the Year”, but she’s not the only one fit to wear a fabulous purple eyeliner that says “come hither”!  She’s making their Dahlia shade a super popular pick, but your eyes will look just as stunning in COVERGIRL’s Violet Voltage from their Liquiline Blast range of eyeliners.

LUST: Fresh Mamaku Night Serum; $85, Sephora
MUST: Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Intensive Skin Repair Serum; $19.99, Target, yestocarrots.com

You can’t truly glow this holiday season with tired-looking skin, and the simple addition of a lightweight serum can help give your regular skincare products an energy shot!  Fresh Mamaku Night Serum nourishes, hydrates, and brings out some radiance, but it comes with a hefty price tag.  For about a quarter of the price, Yes To Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum offers tired, aging skin a boost with rich antioxidants to protect against winter’s environmental aggressors—while brightening the skin’s surface and soothing it too.

The glam collection mascara from physicians formula looks great. Where did you find it? I haven’t seen it in stores.

    Hi Shel,

Try CVS, ULTA, Target, and Rite Aid if you have one of those in your area. It’s a limited holiday collection, so your best bet is to head straight to where they keep all of the cute displays of all the new & limited collections close to the front of the department, and on the endcaps. It should be separate from the regular Shimmer Strips Mascara duos that are purple, green, or blue packaging. My CVS is so sneaky sometimes with their new product merchandising—and my specific location has a bad habit of not putting things out in a timely manner. If you don’t see it out at any of those places, I would definitely ask for it in the event they’ve got it stashed (or haven’t put it out yet) because they don’t know what a gem it is! I’ve had no luck finding this for purchase online though :(
