Good glitter can be hard to find! Even though I’m not at a point anymore where I really want to sparkle much (1999 was another story, however!), I do like the occasional glitter liner—and I know there are plenty o’ gals that fiercely (and fearlessly) rock glitter all the time. Hats off to you my lovelies, here’s a brand out of Canada, Lit Cosmetics that you’ll probably love!
Their specialty is glitter, glitter, and more glitter, and they have a unique liquid base to keep it in check. We are talking COUNTLESS colors of glitter with varying finishes; metallics, solids, shimmers…you name it. On top of that, you can choose the size of your glitter—like how large the particles are themselves. Size 1 is the smallest cut, size 2 (what I tried) is the middle of the road, and size 3 is straight-up blingin’!
I tried out the Multi-3 Stack Lit Kit: 3 glitters, 1 oz. Clearly Liquid Glitter Base, a “sparkle duster”, and two brushes—a thin liner and round brush. You can purchase everything individually of course, but with the multi-stacks, you’ll save $27 & up, depending on how many glitter shades you purchase.
While I may not be a true glitter connoisseur, I have to say that I’m very impressed with not only the pigmentation of the glitters I tried—but also with how well the Clearly Liquid Glitter Base performs. It’s so easy to use, it’s water-based, paraben-free, alcohol-free, and doesn’t have a tightening effect. Also, I really dig that cute little pink “sparkle duster”. You won’t get a ton of fallout when you use their glitter base, but for any little strays, you can just dust them away with your sparkle duster without disturbing your makeup.
For anyone who is into performance art, a cheerleader, or if you’re just addicted to glitz & glitter, Lit Cosmetics has almost every color imaginable. (I’ve put the pdf of their catalog here just so you can get a glimpse of how comprehensive the shade selections are.)
