Like massive lashes? This new mascara from Too Faced might be for you. You may remember my mention of Size Queen Mascara from last week, when I went to Too Faced headquarters (aka, The Glam Factory). I finally had a chance to give it a few good test drives, and I’m ready to share the details!
Size Queen has a ginormous brush that’s shaped like a corkscrew, with alternating short and long rows of bristles. The formula promises to lengthen, thicken, and curl due to the combo of the brush and special volumizing fibers that grab on to the lashes to elongate them. The mascara also uses a lash conditioning formula—it contains panthenol, vitamins C & E, and red algae (increases keratin resistance) to nourish the lashes and help keep them flexible.

But does it work?
It works for me! But here’s the thing—I don’t think Size Queen will be every one’s cup of tea. You know how some of us like the fat lashes that DiorShow provides, and some of us just like clean definition? This is going to be the mascara for the gals that like large brushes; like that on DiorShow (actually—Size Queen’s is much bigger), and prefer a little drama. The formula isn’t as wet as most mascaras—but I find it to be less dry-looking than other mega-volumizers I’ve worn, so it sits perfectly in the middle of neither being too moist or too dry. The brush comes out of the tube nice and clean, and there’s no excess gunk on it which is great…because that’s when good mascaras go bad! They’ll clump otherwise.
The long and short of it…
As you can tell in the photo, the brush does a great job at grabbing as many lashes as possible, both long and short. It absolutely lengthens, thickens, and curls without looking too dry for me. Size Queen is launching with just one shade for now—Pitch Black, but I have no idea if more shades will be released at a later date. While the formula isn’t waterproof, it does stay put! I’ve actually taken a nap with it on, and my lashes looked pretty undisturbed. I haven’t experienced any flaking either, so it’s safe to say that this fared pretty well! But that brush will take some getting used to for sure, it’s huge! The key is going to be having patience with yourself, otherwise you might end up with it on your brow bone.
This is a Sephora exclusive, and it doesn’t look as though it’s in stock just yet—as this is being launched with the rest of the Too Faced summer collection. But with any hope, it should be available soon.
