Review: IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish HD Silk Micro-Powder

If you suffer from enlarged pores, I don’t even have to tell you how frustrating they are. For those who don’t…imagine putting on the most perfect face of makeup, only to look down and see tons of enlarged pores roughing up your complexion and ruining your hard work. Yep, it’s like that. What was supposed to be picture perfect—ends up being not so perfect after all. Grr…

I have enlarged pores myself, and I use primers, mattifiers, the whole nine yards—in addition to an extensive skincare regimen to keep those pores cleaned out. And it’s rough! So it was nice to try out this product from IT Cosmetics, their Bye Bye Pores HD Silk Micro-Powder to see if it would help at all. Here’s what IT Cosmetics has to say about the product:

Say goodbye to visible Pores with the HD Silk Micro Finishing Powder from It Cosmetics. It’s the perfect setting powder and all over face finishing powder. This HD Micro-powder is infused with line smoothing hydrolyzed collagen, luxurious silk for a poreless finish, and vitamin K to help reduce discoloration. It also contains anti-aging anti-oxidants Vitamins A,C & E to help ward off free radicals throughout the day. The translucent color works on all skin tones.

Did it work? You tell me…

I buffed on Bye Bye Pores with their Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush (sold separately) on bare skin for this photo, and that was it! Not only does it take down shine and make pores seem less visible, but it leaves behind a silky look and feel. It even looks better over foundation—but I figured bare skin was the true test.

Bye Bye Pores is talc-free, oil-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free. It really gives an airbrushed look to the skin and looks great on bare skin, and as a finishing powder over makeup—this stuff is awesome!

Available for purchase separately is the Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush. While it’s not required for use with Bye Bye Pores, they do make a powerful little combo. You can use it to apply your favorite pressed or loose powder with ease, it’s super plush and a nice treat to add to Bye Bye Pores.

This 100% cruelty-free high quality mega-brush is ultra-luxurious in feel, plus its soft-touch rubberized jumbo handle makes application easy and even more enjoyable. The ultra-high brush hair count sets a new standard for quality and makes for the most effective distribution of powder.

I’ve been dying to get my hands on this, last time it was on The Shopping Channel they had the powder & brush combo but it sold out before I could get it. I am patiently awaiting it’s next appearance, thanks for the review!

I really want to try this but they don’t sell it in Sweden and that is too bad. I have big pores too and it feels just hopeless. I have tried so many things and nothing works. Does this effect last all day long? I have tried similiar powders and it looks good in the morning but a few hours later it’s the same again as soon as the skin gets oily again…

Lulillan, It lasts for most of the day—but I’ve found that since it’s in the 90’s here, I have to touch up after I’ve perspired a bit :)

I’ve got enlarged pores and am looking for help. This looks great. I like that it’s paraben free. Is it also silicone free?

  • Amber

    Hi Karen,

I can’t seem to find the complete list of ingredients online, and I’ve long thrown away the box. I can’t say one way or the other. Sorry for overlooking that!

Yes it does contain silicone :( I just saw it on qvc and looked up the ingredients … Knew it was too good to be true!
