Last week, I was walking through GAP (The Gap for us old fogies), and I marveled at how gorgeous all of the neutral and nude shades looked on all of the displays. There were blush tones, soft peach colors, nudes, and pale greys paired up with white—and it all looked so fantastic. When I saw the Jessica Carte Blanche Collection, it instantly brought me back to that experience. Shades like these are certainly chic, and pretty timeless—not to mention—look great up against a faux tan! While I don’t have all six shades to show you from the collection, I do have three of them, and they’re very soft shades of grey and lavender. Let’s take a peek…
Trés Chic is an opaque lavender/grey pearl, but takes on more lavender than grey.
Soigne is an opaque greige-lavender pearl.
à la mode is a fantastic opaque grey-lavender pearl, but takes on more grey than lavender. This was my favorite of the bunch!
This was only my third time trying out Jessica Custom Nail Colours, and I appreciated that these applied well with a nice flow. One thing that stood out to me was that even though there’s a slight shimmer, it’s such a fine pearl that it looks more elegant than frosty in my opinion. There was just a tad bit of an issue with brush strokes, but nothing major as I’ve come to expect much worse. Two coats applied perfectly opaque for me without any balding—an issue that I find very common with pale shades. I consider my third experience a success and look forward to more Jessica experiences in the future, as I widen my nail polish brand scope.
