Review: Prive Haircare Intensive Mask

I’ve reviewed Privé products before and I’ll admit I am a fan of this line.  Privé’s Intensive Mask promises to nourish and rejuvenate all hair types.  As you know, I have dry, coarse hair so I am always open to trying something new to make my hair supple.  I guess I was too focused on that to realize my hair would not just be supple, but shiny and brilliant as well!  After a wash with my regular shampoo, I followed the directions to towel dry my hair and then rub the product between my hands to break open the humectants beads.  When I rubbed it into my hair it was a strange feeling—almost like I was re-wetting my hair with the mask (which is essentially what humectants tend to do).

After 10 minutes on the egg timer I rinsed and dried as usual.  My hair was silky and smooth—not heavy at all. And shiny!  They also suggest to wrap your head in cellophane and add some heat to better penetrate your hair shaft and increase results. You can leave this stuff on for up to 15 minutes. I can’t imagine more lustrous hair than this, but I’m on my way to the grocery store to get some Saran Wrap and find out!

Price & Availability: $29—priveproducts.com

Note from Amber: Dilara is due to pop with her first baby any day now, let’s wish her the best and hope that she’s back reviewing products soon with a healthy baby on her lap. Congratulations, Dilara!

Thank you for the review! It couldn’t have come at a better time.I recently won a box of a new hair color.(I won’t mention the company by name.) Any ways, it totally dried my hair out! I am in desperate need of a great product right now. I will be trying this. Thanks again!
