Now, THIS is what I’m talking about! You know how sometimes you buy a product and automatically deem it “too pretty to use?” Well ladies, go ahead—use The Animalier Glow Bronzing Powder from Dolce & Gabbana up! While it’s gorgeous, it’s also very functional and sultry. Not to mention—Olivia from Jerseylicious would absolutely LOSE HER MIND over it…

Olivia does not endorse Dolce & Gabbana or this product,
I just have a silly sense of humor. TEAM OLIVIA!

Now back to the serious stuff. This bronzer is housed in a decadent, opulent gold compact—complete with a black velvet pouch to hold the brush. The animal print is actually an overspray, and after a few dustings it will reveal a marbled bronzer underneath, with varying tones of both lighter and darker bronze shades.

Print close up…

Bye bye animal print…sad to see you go!

Swatches…

Once applied, The Animalier Glow Bronzing Powder reminds me slightly of the Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder for blondes, only minus the peach tones. (Which happens to be one of my fave bronzers!) The reason why is because they both look very natural on the skin and the glow is very believable—nothing chunky or gaudy. While The Animalier remains buildable, I prefer applying it with a light stroke to create soft contour and highlight. It’s definitely more bronze than orange, but I could see this working best on fair-to-medium skin tones. If you’ve tried this on darker skin tones, I’d love to hear how it worked for you too!

Price & Availability: $50—saks.com and Saks Fifth Avenue locations
