You all know I’m a sucker for a new nail polish collection, most of them are introduced with 6-to-12 new shades every season, with a few small collections in-between. I thought this was really smart by Nicole by OPI however; only releasing four fall shades to mingle in with their existing color collection at Target. I like doing just four shades, and doing those four shades very well. How about you?
“Nicole by OPI has taken the Something About Spring collection that launched in Target this past March and added new shades to take the line from Spring to Fall,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Target has become a hub for fashionable consumers, which is why the new colors feature some of the season’s hottest hues, like red [I Love You Cherry Much], which will appear this winter as an accent shade to add a bright pop of richly-pigmented color. The neutral trend will also continue, adding elements of taupe, khaki and olive green [Green Up Your Act!] to the current favorites of nude, tan and grey.”

It’s already no secret that I’m a fan of this fun green, Green Up Your Act—friends have commented on it over the last few days—it’s been quite the conversation piece!
Green Up Your Act! — This powerful olive-green has its eyes on you!
Sounds Grape to Me — A shimmering burgundy that’s up for anything!
It’s Not Me, It’s Blue — Pretty periwinkle, you had me at “shimmer.”
I Love You Cherry Much — Hold onto this romantic red—it’s a keeper.
The most noticeable difference I can offer is the return to the original brush on the lacquers, as these do not have the same wide, flat(er) brush that was either loved or disliked earlier this year when the Justin Bieber collection was introduced. I’m fine with both, but I did think this back-to-basics brush helped to lay the polish down pretty smooth, especially on the shades where the shimmer is predominate.
