If I had 3 minutes to get ready, here’s what I would do—I would apply mascara, lipgloss, and throw my hair into a ponytail. Those are things I just don’t want to be without! The bareMinerals Pretty Amazing Lipcolor shades have been keeping me pretty satisfied in the lip department in record time. The near-perfect hybrid of liquid lipstick and gloss is pretty fierce on the lips, and I’ve been waiting for some new shades. Well, wait no longer…two new shades of the lipcolor formula are here, along with the introduction of Pretty Amazing lipgloss shades for holiday 2011.

Mini Pretty Amazing Lipcolor in Savvy — rosy tan
Mini Pretty Amazing Lipcolor in Confidence — pink berry
Mini Pretty Amazing Lipgloss in Sass — nude shimmer
Mini Pretty Amazing Lipgloss in Oomph — barely pink

While the two lipcolor shades didn’t disappoint, the glosses left me wanting more. They are pretty, but they aren’t very pigmented—and I felt like I had to apply a whole lot of it just to look a little less like clear gloss. I know the two glosses in this kit are supposed to look a bit sheer, but they were very sheer and lacked that certain special “something”. Know what I mean?

Top to bottom: Savvy, Sass, Confidence, Oomph

These are comfortable on the lips, and the two lipcolor shades deliver what I expected—creamy, pigmented color that doesn’t dry out my lips. I only wish the glosses did more for me!
