A little bit of Paris hit Los Angeles last week, as Make Up For Ever opened their first flagship store on the west coast. For the first time, consumers and pros alike can gaze upon this 1,300 square foot makeup mecca and touch 1,400 products. As if that weren’t enough to cause make up addicts to flush, you can tour the pigments virtually on the boutique’s large Smart Board. It gets even better! You can have the next best thing to taking your makeup artist home with you—a personalized lesson in the boutique’s recording studio, stored on a USB drive. After experiencing my own recording session with head make up artist Lijha Stewart, I definitely feel better equipped in the eyeshadow and complexion department.

Access to pro products is literally at your fingertips!

Lijah sets a soft focus with HD Microfinishing Powder during my personal recording session.

Head to the Smart Board for inspiration and creation.

Founder Danny Sanz successfully transformed this professional line into consumer-friendly, so don’t be afraid to make this one of your travel destinations if you visit Los Angeles, (or just happen to be in the neighborhood). You’ll find this bustling boutique at 132 S. Robertson Blvd., with ample parking across the street. This is my favorite new beauty hot spot!

I need to pay this store a visit, but I’m afraid my self control will weaken and the food budget will be compromised. Top Ramen here I come!

Hi Rebekka! You’re funny, I haven’t heard the top ramen-to-shopping ratio in a while! The MUFE boutique is definitely an experience, you have to go at least once :)
