Proactiv Advanced Blemish Treatment to the Rescue!

Over the past few months, I’ve explored the Proactiv line of products, more than I ever thought I would, especially since I’ve left most of my acne woes long and far behind me. But that doesn’t stop the hormone-induced pimple here and there I get from month to month. Most pimple spot-treatments look chalky, have a horrid smell, and you can’t wear them under makeup. So that often leaves daytime treatment out of the question! Then, I go to bed covered in a pimple product that you can see (and smell)—while my husband just rolls his eyes at me. But why only use a treatment at night? I want to fight them during the day too, but I don’t want the world to know it!

I am SO glad that I participated in this Proactiv challenge, and I can’t believe that I found products in the line that are actually appropriate for me. The Advanced Blemish Treatment is one of the last products in the current collection that I found was a great fit. This got rid of some pesky forehead and jawline pimples without over-drying my skin. I usually steer clear of benzoyl peroxide treatments for that very reason—but I lucked out with this since it contains soothing and healing ingredients like panthenol and allantoin too.

And the best part? I can wear this during the day, under my makeup, and no one knows it’s there except for me. This is almost the end of my Proactiv journey, and I hope that this series has helped you find at least one product that works for you too!

I’ve thought about trying this product before, but was afraid of the drying effects it might have. After reading your review, I think I’m convinced to try Proactiv. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Hi Tammy, I usually have problems with benzoyl peroxide drying out my skin really badly, and I didn’t experience that with this. I wasn’t using the entire Proactiv regimen while using this—so if you do—you might encounter some since I’m not sure about all of the products together at once. Try only applying this once a day to start with :)
