I’m SO excited about these! In February, Bare Escentuals brings us eight new hues of powder blush in their fun BUXOM lineup of products, True Hue Blush. This is new territory for BUXOM, as True Hue is the first ever complexion product from the brand. The second I laid eyes on these, I squealed with delight! The shades are bright and perky, and the product feels so velvety smooth to the touch.
The component is a nice and sturdy mirrored compact that closes securely until you want it open, yet still opens without having to use your nails. I think this is pretty makeup bag friendly!
While these are available in eight shades—I checked out four and I was pleased as punch with each one!
Euphoria
Luvitate
Rendezvous
Swept Away
Also available:
Breathless
Shangri-La-La
Seduction
Tryst
What really makes these appeal to me first are the vibrant shades, NARS immediately popped in my head when I saw them. I’m a huge fan of NARS blushes for the same reasons I like these: I find the quality to be pretty top notch, as the pigments stay true with great payoff (True Hue, ha ha!), and they’re super easy to blend out and/or build up. I also learned something pretty interesting about these babies…
True Hue Blush contains an arctic plant root called rhodiola, which helps cheeks stay looking fresh. Hmm…
These won’t launch until February 2012 (Happy Birthday to me!), and will be Sephora exclusives.
Swatches:
Top to bottom: Swept Away, Luvitate, Rendezvous, Euphoria
Bottom Line: Don’t miss these if you are a fan of pigmented powder blushes and love to experiment with color. Believe it or not, even the bright shades were easy to blend out to wear on my fair skin—but I just know they’ll look incredible on darker skin tones too!
Price & Availability: February 2012—$24 each, Sephora & Sephora.com exclusive
